I am a Dalhousie University graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and a Certificate of Applied Science from Acadia University. I have gained hands-on experience in Radio Frequency Engineering with Bell as the RF Prime for Atlantic Canada In-Building, contributing to projects that required iBwave proficiency, systems integration, and project management. My academic and professional experiences have sharpened my technical, analytical, and teamwork abilities, and I am motivated to apply these strengths to drive innovation and deliver effective engineering solutions.
I would love to work in a field that advances renewable energy, health sciences, high-speed networking, defence and automation. As an Electrical Engineer I have education and experience with iBwave, AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, Simulink, MATLAB, LTspice, C++, Python, data parsing, power systems, problem solving, project management, research, rapid prototyping, troubleshooting, and MS Office.
During my education and work experience, I have developed strong problem-solving and teamwork skills. I competed in the Atlantic and National Engineering Competitions in 2019 and 2021, where my three teammates and I had eight hours to design and build a prototype, prepare a presentation, and demonstrate our design to a panel of judges. We placed first at the provincial level twice and in 2019 placed second nationally. I was also a part of a collaborative team (DALMAST) led by the Dean of Electrical Engineering that prototyped an autonomous sailboat drone capable of sailing across the Atlantic ocean. This shows my ability to solve complex problems in an organized and timely manner in a collaborative setting.
I also have extensive experience with 3D CAD software and Microsoft Office, developed through design projects, 3D printing, and prototype modelling in Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, and Blender. I have created professional slide presentations, worked with Excel for data collection and analysis, and built automation tools using multiple programming languages.
Given my education, experience and skill set, I am confident I would be a strong candidate for your Electrical Engineering position.
