About Me

Cole Everson

I would love to work in a field that is pushing forward renewable energy, health sciences, network speeds and or automation. As an Electrical Engineer with education and experience with iBwave, AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, Simulink, MATLAB, LTSpice, C++, Python, data parsing, problem solving, teamwork skills, project management, research, rapid prototyping, troubleshooting and MS Office, I am certain that I would be a great choice for any electrical engineering position.

During my education and work experience, I have attained problem solving and teamwork skills. I was part of the Atlantic and National engineering competitions in 2019 and 2021, which I and my three teammates had to work together to design and create a prototype. Then we had to create a presentation and demonstrate the design in front of a panel of judges all within 8 hours of work. We were placed first in provincials twice and second nationally due to our ability to effectively solve the problems proposed in an organized and in a timely manner.

I have experience with 3D CAD software and Microsoft Office developed through design projects, 3D printing, creation of the prototype models on INVENTOR and SOLIDWORKS, making presentations on slides and working with excel on data collection for personal engineering projects and in the workplace.

I have attained programming skills through school, self-learning and in the workplace. I built and programmed an automated cross walk that detects when a person crosses the road using C++. In my personal time I volunteered at the Hantsport memorial community centre and programmed an escape room “clock” device which when the lights turned off gave a sequence of ticks which made a code for a lock. These projects required me to perform unit testing and debugging.

I am confident that I would be a good match for any electrical engineering position because of my skills, qualifications, and experiences in problem-solving.
